Regeneration of particle filter
This function cleans the particle filter from soot particles by burning them off using an increase in the exhaust temperature. In certain driving conditions, the particle filter can not be cleaned automatically, e.g., in continuous city driving. Then this function is used to force a regeneration. Regeneration takes approx. 60 minutes.
Exhaust temperature is very high during this procedure. Therefore, perform the regeneration outdoors, without connected exhaust hose.
Learning of pilot injection correction must be completed before static regeneration can be performed.
To reach sufficiently high exhaust temperature, the vehicle can either be driven on a road or vary at idle between 2500 and 3500 rpm.
No other electronics in the vehicle should be turned on.
If the function is canceled, the vehicle must stand with ignition off for at least 5 minutes before a new start attempt is performed.
Engine temperature above 75 °C.
Exhaust temperature at least 185 °C.
Check that test conditions are met.
Follow dialogue instructions.
If the function is canceled, the vehicle must stand with ignition off for at least 5 minutes before a new start attempt is performed.
