Bleed the clutch system

This function describes how to bleed the clutch hydraulics.
After replacing the transmission, the clutch module with MTA-controller or parts of the clutch hydraulic system or hydraulic line has been opened or unloaded must the clutch hydraulics bleed.
Note:
To ensure the clutch function, bleeding should only be performed with a diagnostic tool and a brake bleeding tool. Manual bleeding is not allowed. Please note the manufacturer's instructions before using the brake bleeding tool.
Test conditions:
Procedure:
  1. Install the brake bleeding tool (Observe the manufacture's instructions). Enlist the support of TIS (Technical information) from Opel's website: www.gme-infotech.com
  2. Bleed the hydraulic clutch system (step 1): Open the bleed nipple (Make sure that the bleed nipple is open at least 180° to reach the correct bleeding).
  3. Allow the liquid to drain from the bleed nipple until it is clear and without bubbles, then close the bleed nipple.
  4. Empty the bleed reservoir (if needed).
  5. Bleed the hydraulic clutch system with the diagnostic tool (step 2): 2 mechanics is required.
  6. Enter the program function "Component activation" and select clutch activation.
  7. Open the bleed nipple.
  8. Activate the clutch activation 15 times (On, then Off) in intervals of one second.
  9. Allow the liquid to drain from the bleed nipple until it is clear and without bubbles, then close the bleed nipple.
  10. Empty the bleed reservoir (if needed).
  11. Bleed the hydraulic clutch system with the diagnostic tool (step 3): 2 mechanics is required.
  12. Activate the clutch activation (On) to pressurize the clutch hydraulic system, immediately open the bleed nipple, then close the bleed nipple.
  13. Deactivate the clutch activation (Off) to bleed the pressure in the clutch hydraulic system.
  14. Repeat step 3 for at least 10 minutes until the liquid is clear and without bubbles.
  15. Empty the bleed reservoir (if needed).
  16. Do not engage any gears yet.
  17. Start the engine and let it idle for 10 seconds, then stop the engine.
  18. Repeat step 1 of the bleeding procedure.
  19. Repeat step 2 of the bleeding procedure.
  20. Repeat step 3 of the bleeding procedure.
  21. Remove the brake bleeding tool. Enlist the support of TIS (Technical information) from Opel's website: www.gme-infotech.com
  22. Perform the programming of the clutch hydraulic system.
If the function fails, check the test conditions and repair any faults.
