Initialize towbar

This function is used to initiate the fully automatic towbar. This can be done in two ways, through diagnosis and manually via the control button in the vehicle. If the initialization is lost, the red LED, on the control button, flashes or illuminates.

Note:

If the initialization fails through diagnosis, try manually and vice versa. Troubleshoot if neither works.

Test conditions:

Ignition on, engine off.
Disconnect all plugs and the trailer from the trailer coupling.
Be careful and do not place anything in the movement range of the trailer coupling.

Procedure:

Procedure through diagnosis:

Start the function and follow the instructions in the program.
Function complete.

An initiation through diagnosis takes about 2 minutes.

Manually procedure:

Turn on the ignition.
Press the control button and hold it until the towbar has moved all the way to the working position and back to the rest position.

If the towbar stays in an end position, you must release the button briefly and then press it again until the other end position is reached. The LED flashes until the initialization is complete, then it illuminates green.
