Setting the forward sensing camera
This function must be performed when:
The control unit has been replaced.
When a fault code concerning the forward sensing camera has been registered.
If the vehicle height drastically changes.
After changing the windshield.
This function stores the camera photo angle in the FCS control unit by the reading of a target.
Entering the wheel housing heights are done in mm. To convert inch to mm please multiply with 25,4.
The calibration aid can be printed out using the attached document. Measure that the printed scale matches the specified value.
Always measure the reference value (10cm) on the calibration aid before starting the calibration.
If the reference value (10cm) doesn't match, then check the printer settings.
No fault codes in the system, except for those who concerns the setting.
Perform the setting in a well lit room.
Make sure that the windshield is clean.
The vehicle must not be shaken.
No additional load or persons in the car.
Make sure that the visibility 4 meters in front of the vehicle is free from obstructions 4 meters in width.
Note the height from the ground to the wheel house on all the wheels.
The vehicle must stand on level ground.
Correctly positioned calibration aid.
Place the calibration help as follows:
Position the calibration aid on a rack in front of the center of the vehicle.
Mount the calibration aid perpendicular and horizontal in front of the center of the vehicle.
The disc should be positioned 50 cm from the front outermost point.
The circles center points should be 127 cm from the ground.
The center of the sign should be exactly straight forward relative to the center of the vehicle.
Start the function and follow the instructions in the program.
Enter the distance from the ground to the wheel housing on each wheel.
Select the steering wheel side.
The function is complete.
If the function fails, it may be because:
Position setting or the specified value is incorrect.
Poor light or dark/dirty target.
The target has been moved during the setting.
