This function is used to check the backup function in the EBS system.
EBS system active, Maximum pressure:
Front axle: 1000 kPa.
Drive axles: 1000 kPa.
Trailing wheel axles: 700 kPa.
Trailer clutch: 850 kPa.
EBS system inactive, Backup mode active, Maximum pressure:
Front axle: 1000 kPa.
Drive axles: 1000 kPa.
Trailer wheel axles: 1000 kPa.
Trailer clutch: 850 kPa.
NOTE: The pressure in the rear circuit is about 200 kPa lower than in the front circuit.
Test prerequisites:
Battery voltage above 20 V.
Engine on.
Full air pressure in the brake system.
Transmission in neutral.
Block the weels and release the parking brake.
Procedure:
Start the function.
EBS system active. Press down the brake pedal fully and check that the wheel brake pressure is >= 850 kPa and that the trailer clutch pressure is >=650 kPa.
Check the values.
Activate backup mode.
EBS system inactive. Press down the brake pedal fully and check that the wheel brake pressure is >= 650 kPa and that the trailer clutch pressure is >=650 kPa.
Function complete.
If the function fails, check the test conditions and repair any faults.
