This function is used to calibrate the air suspension. When the function is started, the measurements of the spacers are read out.
On vehicles with air suspension on both front and rear axle, spacers shall be placed between chassis and drive axle as well as chassis and front axle.
On vehicles with air suspension only on the rear axle, spacers shall be placed between chassis and drive axle.
Calibration of level sensor must be performed when:
Control unit has been replaced.
Work has been done on level sensors or these have been replaced.
Calibration is defective.
Note:
The vehicle will move up and down when the air suspension is calibrated. It is therefore extremely important that no persons or equipment remain in the area around or underneath the vehicle, to prevent damage or injury.
Test conditions:
Ignition on with external air supply connected, or engine running.
The vehicle must be on level ground.
On vehicles with a lifting axle, this must be lowered.
No faults in the system.
Procedure:
Select the calibration function.
Read out the measurement of the spacers and place the spacers.
Set the normal level using the program buttons.
Calibrate the normal level.
Adjust upper level with the buttons in the program.
Calibrate upper level.
Remove the spacers before the car is lowered.
The function is done.
If the function fails, check the test conditions and repair any faults.
