The test is used to check the diaphragm pump's maximum capacity.
Only run this test if the line between the supply module and dosing unit is disconnected. Use special tool from AdBlue test kit. (MAN 80.99607-6038)
The test can only be run if the temperature sensor after the catalytic converter is disconnected and replaced with an 180 ohm resistor.
Injection of AdBlue in the catalytic converter can cause damage.
Test conditions:
Ignition on, engine off.
Air pressure in tanks shall be above 8 bar.
Line to dosing unit shall be disconnected.
Procedure:
Connect the test restrictor to the AdBlue-line instead of the dosing unit.
The outflow pipe is placed in a 1,000 millilitre measuring beaker.
Start the test by pressing the "OK" button.
Open the shut-off valve on the test restrictor immediately.
Use the adjusting screw to adjust the pressure to 3 bar. (Otherwise the measurement may become incorrect.)
Close the shut-off valve on the test restrictor when the test is finished.
Empty the AdBlue fluid.
Start the test again and open the shut-off valve on the test restrictor immediately.
Close the shut-off valve on the test restrictor when the test is finished.
Measure the amount of AdBlue in the measuring beaker.
Important:
Measured quantity should be at least 220 millilitres.
If the value is lower, check the three filters in the supply module, or check the suction line from the tank so that it is not clogged.
Run the test again.
If minimum quantity of 220 millilitres is still not reached, the supply module should be replaced.
