This function is used to calibrate the distance radar sensor. The vertical adjustment is done manually using an entered value. The horizontal adjustment is done automatically. The calibration is completed by driving the vehicle.
The calibration is required if the distance radar sensor has been replaced or if something has affected its position.
Note:
Do not switch off the ignition during the calibration procedure.
A digital spirit level is required to measure the chassis inclination.
To complete the calibration, the vehicle must be driven so at least 250 objects is detected by the sensor.
Test conditions:
Ignition on, engine off.
The vehicle must stand on level ground.
Normal driving level.
Correct tire pressure on all wheels.
The vehicle must be unladen.
Procedure:
Start the function.
A dialogue box shows test conditions, check these and press "OK".
A dialogue box shows what's required for a complete calibration, press "OK".
Measure the inclination of the chassis frame and press "OK".
Enter the measured chassis inclination in the dialogue box and press "OK".
Adjust the sensor inclintation according to the values in the dialogue box and press "OK".
A dialogue box displays instructions of how to complete the calibration, do these and press "OK".
Function done.
If the function fails, check the test conditions and repair any faults.
